With Seven-league Boots. Stop – Finland
This is already the second exhibition introducing contemporary art collections from the Baltic Sea region’s museums and it is dedicated to the centenaries of the Republic of Finland and the Republic of Latvia.

The exhibition titled “Treasures of Latvia” will be displayed in several Latvian centers around the U.S. to highlight Latvia’s accomplishments in business, the arts, culture, and sports. The exhibition was funded by the Latvian Ministry of Culture.

The exhibition Symbolism in Baltic Art will be one of the most ambitious joint projects for the Baltic Centenary and among the largest centenary events to take place abroad. The exhibition will open at the beginning of April 2018 in one of the most influential museums in the world – the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.

The Turn will be officially opened at 16.00 on 31 October, Reformation Day, at the atrium of the National Library of Latvia.

From 13 October to 5 December 2017 the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design (10/20 Skarnu Street, Riga) will present an exhibition of works of the outstanding Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala, Poetry in Glass, Porcelain and Silver.
