Rothko in Jazz - Concert Programme with the Māris Briežkalns Quintet

The famous Latvia-born painter Mark Rothko created an abstract, mysterious and moving body of work. For the project Rothko in Jazz, members of the Māris Briežkalns Quintet have arranged works inspired by his canvases created by ten renowned Latvian composers.

Latvian Composers for Centenary of Latvia

Over the course of two and a half years eigthy Latvian composers were invited to compose new pieces for Latvia's State Centenary - a capella songs for choir portraying the five elements in music: fire, water, earth (the Motherland), sky, and love. Twenty of the best pieces will be performed at the final concert.

Klas Torstensson. Christina Cycle. - A Concert with Sinfonietta Rīga
