Latvian delegates head off to London Book Fair

The London Book Fair 2018 will take place from 10th to 12th April, and Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have been selected to be this year’s Market Focus Countries. To celebrate this occasion, more than 40 events related to Latvian literature will be hosted in the Book Fair and other venues across London.

Photo exhibition “Then and Now"

Commemorating the Baltic States Centenary, all interested will be able to view a Tallinn and Vilnius photo exhibition entitled “Then and Now” from 26 March to 27 April 2018. It was created as a “Baltic States Centenary Celebration.

In Riga, landscape art object tells the tale of Lithuania’s, Estonia’s, and Latvia’s centenary

In February, landscape art object “The Gate of Honor”, inaugurated early 2018, symbolically tells the tale of the Baltic States’ - Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia – centenary. Three flags intertwine in a unified pattern depicting each country’s centenary symbol whilst recounting history’s important events.

Vartai gallery is proud to present a solo show by the Latvian artist Jānis Avotiņš to coincide with the celebration of the centenary of the declaration of independence by the Baltic States.

Baltic Academies’ Orchestra - young Baltic talents on tour

Proudly celebrating the Centenaries of all three Baltic States, talented students from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and young musicians from other countries around the Baltic Sea will perform together.
